At Upstairs Downstairs in Gloucester Docks you will find a truly traditional Old English tea and coffee shop. Vic and Shirley Foster are proud to have been awarded a ‘five out of five’ Food Hygiene Rating by Gloucester City Council in July 2011, and the quality shows through - treat yourself when you are next in Gloucester Docks and you will not be disappointed.
The tea and coffee shop is set on the first floor of Upstairs Downstairs, in a room overlooking the ground floor of the Antiques Emporium with vaulted ceilings and an eclectic mix of furniture and furnishings including wingback leather chairs.
To sit here is a real home from home and you easily soak up the friendly atmosphere around you. The comfortable surroundings are filled with the soft lighting of lamps giving a cosy feel while you relax and take a bite to eat or drink, or why not have both.
The menu offers you a good range of food, including a variety of fresh home-made cakes to enjoy with your choice of tea or real coffee. Choose from a slice of cake or a muffin, fruit or plain. They are all mouthwateringly tempting and difficult to resist.
