The Gloucester Docks 2011 charity fireworks display is being held this Saturday the 5th November, at the Victoria Basin in Gloucester Docks. Gates open at 6pm to allow people to enjoy the market stalls, fairground rides, entertainment and food stalls. The fireworks display is expected to start to 7.15pm.
The annual event organised by the Gloucester Round Table and in association with Gloucester Quays, attracts thousands of visitors from all over Gloucestershire eager to see the skies over Gloucester lit up by fireworks and a laser light display. Whether you refer to it as Bonfire Night or Guy Fawkes Night, Gloucester Docks makes a stunning setting to enjoy the fun.
In addition to providing Gloucester with an organised fireworks and laser display, this event is organised by the Gloucester Round Table in order to raise charity funds for local and worthy causes. One such beneficiary of the Gloucester Docks 2011 fireworks display will be The Family Haven which helps disadvantaged and vulnerable families in Gloucestershire to a brighter future.
The fireworks event also acts as a welcome boost to the local economy, so why not get to Gloucester Docks early and explore the many shops, businesses, bars, cafes and restaurants. If you haven't visited the Docks for a while, we think you'll be pleasantly surprised.
Heart FM breakfast show presenter Warren Moore will be on site along with the Heart Angels and music will entertain the crowds throughout the event.
The Gloucester Docks fireworks extravaganza is always a special highlight in the Gloucester events calendar, and the organisers promise that the 2011 event will be be bigger and better than ever before.
